this is like the 10th million post about it but eh I like voicing my opinion.

Honestly I like it, sure it’s not as good as the old trio but it is enjoyable.

Only real grips I had were mostly with evans and how the show was ran. I do feel like evans could be a decent host though, he just needs more seat time.

- Sometimes evans would try way too hard to sound like jezza and it would just end up making the scene awkward

- Just like everyone else says with the viper review evans focuses way too much on the easy info and not enough on the actual review parts.

- The corvette vs viper battle was handled very weirdly just seemed like a awkward highschool group project to me.

- The reliant challenge was interesting. To say the least, it lacked charm and was too artificial

- Honestly I’m not a huge fan of Matt being a presenter, he’s not energetic enough and just has a sort of “I’m paid to be here” demeanor

- Extra Gear was pretty good though, harris is incredible at what he does and you can really tell he enjoys it.

Well we’re gonna see him give another crack at reviews this Sunday but yet again he’s not going solo. Jenson Button is riding along which is just odd given the whole him being a McLaren driver and something about ethics in journalism.

Speaking of not going solo. My biggest gripe with Clarkson Gear was how it slowly became a chat show with a few too many cameos for my tastes. So imagine how I felt when I discovered that the soft roader group test this Sunday is gonna have “celebrity” co-drivers because reasons.

Anyway all Top Gears live and die by their cheap car challenges and this series’ challenge looks like it could be entertaining. Especially given the crazy shit available in £3000 used luxury car segment.

Giving up a known for an unknown is tough...

But the beauty here is C-H-M will still be on the air offering-up all the things we’ve grown to love / hate...as will their re-runs.

I agree with all points. Many people seem to think that Matt did OK, but I think he stiffly read his lines. Not a presenter for sure.

Harris was nice - slightly stiff in front of the audience, but Rory owned it. He was probably the best presenter of all.

It needs less Chris Evans. Other than that, it was typical Top Gear. And Matt Leblanc can use more Joey and less Ben Stein
